My dreams may come true but my heart denies it
My wish may come true but my mind denies it
Everything seems so lifeless that I cannot think
Why must we destroy those things we love
What is a friend?
Is she your confidant?
Are we to believe that we are one?
Are we to believe we're different?
What is a friend?
I don't know.
BUT SHE'S MINE.
Black is a color
of only a shade.
There are so many
that we cannot name.
There is cinnamon,
honey, coffee and cream.
Butter, chocolate are
only a dream.
There is more to this
but won't say no.
The beautiful colors
of beautiful souls.
It takes guts to be bad.
It takes courage to be good.
But it takes strength to be in the middle.
People who have...encourage
People who don't...put down
When achieving goals it seem okay
When failing, it seems bad
GOD gives you one more chance
to do right and succeed.
Christmas is a time of year for all good souls to live.
We all should live in harmony and not deny our sins.
Men and women everywhere should keep each other free.
So when its time for all good cheers we'll know what it means.
The lady marches down the aisle
for today comes once a year.
She sits and prays that no one comes
and takes her life away.
She tries to understand it all
but finds its not to be, so...
She looks for all her answers in
the big great white gold book.
What is reality?
Is it dangerous
or just pleasant.
Do we get the things
we want
or do we keep
on dreaming.
Yes, what is realty?
Can we touch it?
Can we see it?
Just what is reality.
If all the days were one
he'd still be here
If all the weeks were two
we'll enjoy his smile
If all the months were three
I would count the days
If all the years were four
we'll still love him more,
& more and more.
in memory of my Uncle John.
Some people can't live
without them, but I can
Some people need their
love, well I don't
Men are such foolish
creatures.
They make you cry,
then laugh in your face.
They take all your
love and spit it in
the ground.
Men are such foolish
creatures.
No wonder they are put
aside.....for now.
All children are born blind
They see no color nor hatred
Who poisoned their minds
NOT I -- THEN WHO
We must see the world as ONE
Not as black, white, pink or brown
When you or I are cut
We bleed -- red not black or brown or white
WHY CAN'T WE BE AS ONE?
There will be a day when
we will say...
Hi, welcome to our world!
AND NOT BE JUDGED BY
OUR SKIN, EYES, HAIR BUT
BY OUR CHARACTER.
RACISM -- Let's end it now
Everyday, the same old thing
Five days a week -- subway a’comin
Putting on make up, drinking coffee
The usual sights to see each morning
Five o’clock comes around
Going home - what a joy
Just to start all over again
What is a sister?
Is she your friend
or not
Is she your confidant
or not
Are we to believe
that we are one
and the same
or are we to
believe we’re different
What is a sister?
I don’t know
but she’s mine
Darkness falls ever so lightly
Serene
Peaceful and
Harmonious
The birds talking with
much ease
as no humans can
frighten them
Quiet times
Alone in your thoughts
Let the mind wander
to a different setting
Darkness... so serene
Can it stay like
this forever
It’s so wondrous
when all is still
Time to reflect on
what has transpired
Can the still
bring on dawn
Peace – the calm
where does it
come from
Back and forth . . . . . all day long
Forth and back . . . . . traveling along
Trying to get from one point to another
To get to a destination like no other
Listening to music, reading papers
Drinking coffee, eating breakfast
All done on this hour ride
to ease into existence for
what lies ahead?
Lights, noise many conversations
screeches, clangs, interruptions
all this we endure in the
morning run
the subway rides, again
and again
Diamonds are created rough
Not enough room to love
Somehow the shine
must come through
Time passes by and
one day a bright light escapes
The diamond glows beyond
all wonder
Eyes twinkles, skies light up
to show how beautiful diamonds are
Mothers are diamonds in the
rough for all her children to love
SHINING BRIGHTLY FOREVER
We are defined by our character
It takes many forms
From the work we do
To the lives we lead
What if one of them doesn’t exist?
Do we lose our character?
Betrayal hurts when it comes
From best friends to worst enemies
They try to spread evils
Only fearing themselves
This makes them feel stronger
Right in your face.
Betrayal hurts when in comes
From anyone who dares.
My life may not come full circle
With so few friends to spend time with
When one friend leaves the group
My circle becomes an arc
With one piece missing for eternity
I love my niece
She is such an angel
I love my nephew
He is so adorable
I like how they talk to me
And I to them
I always learn new things from them
And I hope they are learning from me
My niece has so much to give
My nephew does as well
I love my niece and nephew
For all my heart to be
Going from place to place
Visiting cities to cities
Touring the countryside
Riding in the theme parks
Forging new friends
Seeing old friends
Experiencing all that the
World has to offer
Far away from home
The sun shines ever so brightly
With an orange glow
Rings around its center
To cast a light to show
8 hours a day
5 days a week
1 hour for lunch
15 minutes for break
Standing around the water cooler
Talking to customers on the phone
Meeting with your supervisor
Attending late night events
Drinking at the bar
Dining on fine food
Just to get up in the morning
To do it all again with
8 hours a day
What a great feeling
When we do this every day.
I love life
I love the feeling of freedom
I love going out into the meadow
I love looking in the sky
I love seeing all the beauty that surrounds me
I love life
I mss having fun
I miss being with friends
I miss traveling across the U.S.
I miss taking a plane
I miss going to the theater
I miss dining out
I miss chatting on the phone
I miss crying tears of joy
I miss getting hugs
I miss going to work
I miss
We'll miss him so dearly
to see him not, no more
We'll pray and pray
until he finds his
inner peace
and we'll be happy.
Because we know
it's true
that he has
lived for all
his love.
in memory of my Uncle John
My aunt was a lady so proper and refine
Styling and grooming by design
When she entered and stood
As only she could
We all knew the power that shine
